Handymen Ministry

Our next CP Serves is Saturday, December 8, 2018. Choose a project below and click the link to register:

 

Phillips State Prison (Friday, December 7). Volunteer to host Christmas at Phillips State Prison and serve both inmates and prison staff. (10 people) Team is now full.

 

Apartment Community Outreach. Serve breakfast and minister to residents at a local apartment complex. Great for church and home groups! (20 people) Team is now full.

 

Mobile Food Pantry. Unload, pack and distribute 10 - 12,000 pounds of food for approximately 300 local families in need. Packing and distribution will take place in the Worship Center lobby (Sugarloaf campus). (50 people) Team is now full.

 

Clothes Closet. Help us sort, clean, and process clothes to make them available for clients in need. (20 people) Team is now full.

 

Feet on the Street. Join us in community evangelism at Hurt Park in downtown Atlanta. Minister to individuals facing homelessness. (30 people) Team is now full.

 

Car Care for Single Parents. We will be offering basic car care to single parents in the area. Those who are experienced in basic car maintenance are needed as well as those who can minister to the parents and children. (10 people) Team is now full.

 

Friends of Gwinnett County Seniors. Help seniors by performing yard work tasks such as mowing, raking, trimming, and light maintenance. Bring your garden tools including rakes, shovels, trimmers, blowers, mowers, edgers, and trash bags. This is a great opportunity for families and church and home groups to serve together. (50 people) Team is now full.

 

Inernational Students. Students travel from all over the world to study at universities in Georgia. Show southern hospitality to these students by serving brunch for them. (15 people) Team is now full.

 

Clarkston Christmas Outreach. Minister to refugees by setting up Christmas trees in the homes of those living in Clarkston. This is a great opportunity for families to serve together. (20 people) Team is now full.

 

Asian American Resource Center. We will host a Christmas party for the homeless families served by AARC. We will be helping the children make Christmas cards and gifts for their parents and having stockings for the parents to fill for their children. (15 people)

TABLE Ministry. Help host a block party for the “hidden homeless” living in a local extended stay community. (30 people) Team is now full.

 

Rainbow Village (Friday, December 7). Rainbow Village is hosting a Christmas Party for the families living in their community. Volunteer to help with the many fun activities they will have for these families.(25 people) Team is now full.

 

Rainbow Village (Saturday, December 8). Support the Rainbow Village community by helping maintain the property. This team will serve with various beautification projects around the Rainbow Village center. (15 people) Team is now full.

 

Christian Library International (Mill Creek Campus). Help process books and other Christian resources that are being sent to detention centers around the state. For the adventurous, this could even include some dumpster diving for resources that have been thrown away but are still worth using! (10 people) Team is now full.

 

Emergency Responders Appreciation (Mill Creek Campus). We will serve lunch to emergency responders to express our gratitude for their service in our community. (10 people) Team is now full.

 

Hall County Foster Care (Mill Creek Campus). Hall County has the highest need for Foster Care support in Georgia. Help support foster care families through this opportunity. (20 people) Team is now full.

 

Straight Street (Mill Creek Campus). Help with critically needed home repairs and general maintenance for the many marginalized individuals in the Flowery Branch area. (15 people) Team is now full.

 

Childcare for Sugarloaf Campus. Volunteers are needed to care for preschool-aged children. A background check is required. (10 people) Team is now full.

 

Childcare for Mill Creek Campus. Volunteers are needed to care for preschool-aged children. A background check is required. (5 people) Team is now full.

 

Event Volunteer Team for Sugarloaf Campus. Serve those serving by helping set up and run the CP Serves breakfast and sign in at the Sugarloaf Campus. (8 people) Team is now full.
