At Christmas, we always tend to focus on who was born, why he was born and what he did after he was born, but there is another question to think about, “Why was Jesus born when he was born?” Why didn’t he come much earlier? Why did God wait around for thousands of years before sending his son? Paul answers that question with a little statement that you might miss or gloss over. It is one of those speed bumps in the Bible that should cause us all to slow down and think.
