What does it mean to know Jesus?
When people speak of “knowing” Jesus, they refer to having a relationship with Him... John 17:3.
It is one thing to know about a sports hero... relationship with him, based on time spent together and regular conversation.
When a person truly knows Jesus... 1 John 5:20.
How can you know Jesus?
Romans 10:9 says…
When you trust in Christ… John 1:12, John 3:16.
Is there anything else… Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 5:8.
“Dear God, I realize I am a sinner… Thank you for accepting me and giving me eternal life.”
Jesus saves, but who is Jesus?
Most people understand… Jesus is God in human form (John 1:1; John 1:14; 1 John 4:2).
Jesus saves, but why do we need to be saved?
The Bible declares… (Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 3:23).
Because of our sin… (John 3:18; John 3:36; Psalm 51:4).
Jesus saves, but how does He save?
Because we have sinned against an infinite God…
Jesus saves us by dying in our place… (2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 John 2:2; John 15:13; 1 Corinthians 15).
Jesus saves, but whom does He save?
Jesus saves all who will receive His gift of salvation… (John 3:16; Acts 16:31; John 1:12).
